The January Herbarium (Malvik Mix) is a collection of images and stories about cultivating plant-based foodways and food futures for Norway. The plants were harvested in January at Stephen Barstow’s edimental forest garden in Malvik, Norway.
Explore each of the featured edible plants through audio descriptions. A selection can be found on this page, or listen to them all on SoundCloud >>>
The installation of audio, video and prints was created in collaboration with Stephen Barstow and shown at More Meat Less Meat – an art exhibition of alternative food futures and multi-species encounters exploring the theme of meat and climate change in Norway.
