LOCI Food Lab is a traveling food stand for prototyping, serving and debating a range of bioregional food futures in different cities around the world. 


Visitors to the “bite-sized bioregionalism” lab identify the attributes of the food system that are important to them, and are served a customized snack, created for them from our menu of possible ingredients.

LOCI Food Lab traveled to four events in Portland, OR, USA in the summer of 2014. Read about the our findings here. The project was supported by a grant from RACC

The LOCI Food Lab: Edinburgh project was one outcome of the Nil By Mouth talent development program, which invited four artists to explore food, farming, science and sustainability through a series of collaborative residencies and workshops. The project is set in the context of the Scottish Government’s Strategic Research Program (SRP) and was designed and managed through a partnership between the Crichton Carbon CentreCreative Scotland and Wide Open.
